Our story began with New York City’s stooping culture, the simple practice of leaving something you no longer need for someone else to discover and enjoy.
Inspired by that spirit, we started @stooping_theatre, an Instagram account where New Yorkers passed along last-minute Broadway tickets at face value or less, sometimes for free.
Today, we bring that same spirit to theater, comedy, concerts, dance, opera, and sports. People pass along tickets they can no longer use, turning a change of plans into someone else’s spontaneous night out. Every ticket is listed at or below the original price paid, and sellers pay no fees and keep 100% of their asking price.
Together, these exchanges are shaping a new art of living, one where culture, collective energy, and genuine human connection can be enjoyed spontaneously.
Any tickets to live events in NYC, including Broadway, off-Broadway, concerts, dance, opera, standup comedy, sports, and more.
You can list tickets at or below the price paid (including fees). It’s FREE to sell on Theatr with no seller fees. You keep 100% of your earnings!
You can sell either physical or digital tickets. If the tickets are digital, make sure to transfer them to the buyer via email or text. If they are physical, it’s best for you to pick up the tickets from the box office yourself and hand them off to the buyer; please be aware that box offices sometimes ask for ID upon ticket pickup and, in those cases, buyers will be unable to pick up the physical tickets. Be sure to specify in your listing how you will transfer the tickets.
Your payout will become available for transfer to your bank account/debit card two business days after the show. All seller payouts are currently all processed through Stripe Connect. Any balance accrued from sales on Theatr can only be withdrawn through Stripe Connect and cannot be applied towards purchases or offers made within Theatr.
Payment is protected when you buy or sell on Theatr. We hold the buyer's payment until 30 minutes after the event’s listed start time, giving the buyer time to confirm that the ticket works before funds are released to the seller.
